How do you keep a big universe small?

New idea for how travel works in ALR’s world. Instead of FTL and Ansible tech, it should be wormhole perforations created by energizing Kerogenite material. It’s expensive, requires a lot of energy, and is a rare resource. ALR would have information cutoffs from home and the portals would only ever be big enough for people and supplies. Spaceships would exists but are much slower and hard to come by. This would explain how ALR can get to another planet without being followed because he destroyed the way. But how does the brain link remain? Good question, maybe some form of “astral projection” being a Kerogenite himself now. Still will be shot in the head to reveal the truth. This supports the idea before of The Diplomat being able to move around the universe freely as a living Kerogenite. Dead ones that we use require being aimed at their target and power equal to the distance.
